Hi! I’m Raeven Brown, founder and owner of The Butterflorist. Originally from Melbourne, FL, (salute to the Space Coast!) I laid roots in Charlotte in 2009 with little more than a vision and a dream to become a pastry chef, to inspire and share the gifts that had been provided to me from birth with a city that immediately spoke to the greater parts of me.

 

During my time pursuing my Bachelor’s in Baking & Pastry Arts and Food Service Management at Johnson & Wales University, I began to hone my craft and curate a clear pathway for days to come. 15 years in professional bakeries and kitchens later, it wasn’t until the last 3 years in management when it hit me; I was ready to create for myself and for others in my own establishment. So happily, poised, and well developed for transition to coming to my own, The Butterflorist was started!
